claims: voices in master bedroom area, noises (thumping sound) in the attic

findings: no anomalous findings collected, master bedroom sound originating from a metal wind-powered decoration that caused a vibration in the bedroom wall which sounded like a garbled voice, attic noise was a loose board on attic second entry in garage – when the wind came from a certain direction the non-insulated entry door would rattle

02/01 & 24/08 residential property – indoor setting, Sioux Falls, SD

claims: feelings of being watched/uncomfortable feeling, child reported seeing a figure in upstairs bedroom

findings: several dust orbs in photos, one unique orb in video footage of upstairs room, interactive/intelligent sounds (banging) recorded during some EVP sessions, audible answer to a question during one EVP session with possible other “tapped” responses during other sessions, EMF spikes and high EMF throughout residence

findings: no anomalous findings collected, personal experiences included batteries draining in several devices in large group presentation area, investigators reported hearing music in presentation area but nothing documented on recorders

03/21/08 commercial property – indoor setting, Sioux Falls, SD

claims: sounds of screaming woman in upstairs storage area (former brothel), cowboy apparition in basement, bell ringing by itself, items misplaced, pool ball rolling across the floor by itself

findings: no anomalous findings collected, dust orbs in pictures

04/22/08 commercial property – indoor and outdoor setting, Gull Lake, MN

claims: apparitions peering out of upper story windows, shadows on third floor, voices and lights going on in dining/banquet area, items being misplaced/moved, apparitions in basement area, shadows and voices in various locations outdoors

findings: moving dust orbs on several pictures, shadow figure on picture determined to be photographer otherwise no audio or video findings, investigators reported EMF spike on stairwell that increased and decreased as though something moved past them, uneasy feelings, shadows moving in banquet area but nothing visible on video footage

claims: feelings of being watched/uncomfortable feeling, figure peering around corners, child taking to imaginary friend and voices and running sounds in upstairs hallway

findings: moving dust orb in photos and in video, high EMF in hallways – no spikes, EVP of running in hallway as a direct response, possible direct response to question(s), other EVP garbled sounds, video of a shadow moving on a doorway down a hall where the team had base set up

claims: feelings of being watched/uncomfortable feeling in a outdoor building, possible voices – unsure of origin

07/16 & 25/09 commercial property – indoor settings – several-building campus, Sioux Falls, SD

claims: feelings of being watched/uncomfortable feeling

findings: dust/bug orb in one photo, EMF spikes and moving EMFs in main building basement although no electricity present – seemed interactive/intelligent, one investigator report feeling of being touched, FLIR photo of possible apparition behind investigators (thermal reflection?), no EVP recordings

claims: feelings of being watched/uncomfortable feeling, figure in living room (grandparent?) and another figure of a man in kitchen, electrical equipment turning on/off, volume going up/down on TV, child in home talking to invisible friend/playmate

findings: several dust orbs in photos, no noticeable EMF spikes although high EMF recorded in home’s entryway, several EVP recordings – one possible direct response, two EVPs of young child – overall not noted as interactive/intelligent

09/10/09 commercial property – indoor setting, Tea, SD

claims: feelings of being watched/uncomfortable feeling, doors lock/unlock, whispered voices

findings: several dust orbs in photos, one unique dust or bug orb in video footage in dining area and another in classroom setting, no EMF spikes or high EMF areas, no EVP recordings – nothing interactive/intelligent

12/28/09 residential property – indoor setting, Spearfish, SD

claims: uncomfortable feeling in lower level, reports of piano playing by itself, lights and TV turning on/off by themselves, marks/scratches-gouges forming on a replaced banister by stairwell – family refers to entity as Rose

findings: several dust orbs in photos and video footage, no EMF spikes, no EVP recordings, 16 scratches/marks on banister noted/photographed – nothing interactive/intelligent

12/29/09 residential property – indoor setting, Spearfish, SD

claims: uncomfortable feeling in back bedroom, hooded female figure in back bedroom seen on several occasions by current and former residents

findings: no anomalous findings collected, several dust orbs in photos and in video footage, no EMF spikes, no EVP recordings, investigators reported uncomfortable feelings in back bedroom – nothing interactive/intelligent

*Since the Team's investigation in December of 2009, the hooded figure has again been seen/reported to the previous owners by the current inhabitance of the home. The most recent sighting(s) occuring in May of 2010.

01/13/10 residential property – indoor setting, Sioux Falls, SD

claims: electrical items (TV/clock) malfunction/turn on in upstairs bedroom, audible footsteps asending stairs in upper level, figure seen crossing the hallway in lower level, dark mass seen moving in lower level

findings: dust orbs in photos and video, nothing anomolous in thermal video or IR video footage. This location had large EMF spikes and moving EMFs in stairwell and throughout basement – seemed interactive/intelligent at times but not consistently. The team recorded several EVPs of interest including two that involved the sound of someone whistling, and three that seemed interactive and intelligent direct responses. Of the three direct response EVPs two were lower grade EVPs (perhaps C or D) with one being a much more audible, B grade EVP.

02/26/10 residential property – indoor setting, Coleman, SD

claims: electrical items (entertainment center devices) malfunction/turn off in family room, animals in the home reacting to an unseen entity followed by a family member feeling that they were drained of energy to the point that they needed to sit down, knocking and tapping sounds, uncomfortable feelings and those of being watched in kitchen, tingling sensations at times felt on arms or face in the kitchen (the Team did not know this claim at the start of the investigation)

findings: There were very few dust orbs in photos, nothing anomolous in IR video footage and no abnormally high or fluctuating EMF fields detected. During the investigation the Team noted a few temperature changes/fluctuations but nothing necessarily coinciding with other findings. There were several clearly audible knocks or rapping sounds recorded. At times the sounds seemed to be in response to requests but not on a consistent basis - many of the sounds seemed to be associated with the home's heating/cooling system. Two Team members did experience feelings of tingling or numbness to an arm or side of the face in the kitchen area of the home. When a Team member was photographed during one of the events the photo was blurry/out of focus although all other photos taken that evening were clear. The team would later find out that these experiences were the same the homeowner had experienced. Several low grade EVPs were recorded. Two were possibly direct responses while most were random and seemed residual in nature.

03/13/10 residential property – indoor setting, Sioux Falls, SD

claims: electrical items (audio equipment) malfunction/turn off in family/living room,cats in the home react to an unseen entity, household items disappear then reappear in obvious locations, uncomfortable feelings and those of being watched in lower level as well as upper floor bedroom, second floor windows unlatch and open by themselves, noises from dry-cellar in lower level

findings: At the owners request this was a very low-key, low-tech. initial investigation relying primarily on audio recordings, EMF and temperature readings as well as digital photography. Nothing anomolous was documented in the audio recordings, temperature readings or digital pictures. Likewise no fluctuating EMF fields were detected. An area of significantly high EMF was documented in the lower level that extended into the room over a sleeping area. This could cause/explain the uncomfortable feelings reported in that area. Upon inspection of the windows it was noted that they could be able to spring open a few inches if the latch were unlocked, but a reasonable amount of force would be needed to move the latching mechanism to allow them to open. Both latches were behind other furniture in difficult to reach areas. Noises in the dry cellar were noted during the investigation but there were household animals witnessed in that area. The possibility of psychokinetic energy, PK, (poltergeist-type activity) was discussed with the owner of this property. The Team is staying in contact with the owner for continued activity updates and future, more indepth investigations as needed.

03/26/10 residential property – indoor setting, Flandreau, SD

claims: footsteps heard upstairs, cupboard doors open/close on their own, child's swing turned off on its own, moving shadows/shadow people witnessed, an apparition of an elderly male figure seen in lower level

findings: Dust orbs in digital photography and IR video. Nothing anomolous noted in digital photography or IR video although three very uniquely moving and seemingly illunimated orbs were documented. Two very interesting video clips, one in particular, from thermal imaging video seem to show a shadowing figure peering around a door in the lower level - this fit the claims of shadow figures that had been reported. Areas of high and fluctuating EMF were documented on the main floor and lower levels of this home. At times the electrical fields seemed to be interactive. The sounds of a cabinet door opening/closing was documented in an audio recording when the investigators were not in the area. Several EVPs of interest were documented including one with a direct response/identifiable statement.

05/22/10 commercial property – indoor setting, Estes Park, CO

claims: those familiar with the paranormal will know that this location has claims of every type of activity: voices, moving shadows and shadow figures, moving doors and objects, full-bodied apparitions...the entire gamut of activity. This was not an organized, team investigation but rather an investigation conducted by a small group of SPCTR investigators who stayed at the Stanley hotel in Estes Park Colorado. The group had permission from the hotel to conduct a mini-investigation on the property while they were staying in the hotel. The group used IR video, EMF/temperature measurement, audio recording and digital photography during the investigation.

findings: Dust orbs in digital photography and IR video. One digital photograph was taken showing what appears to be a child or other person in a dining area that was not in use at the time. Several EVPs of interest were documented. The group had a number of unexplained experiences while on the property.

05/28/10 residential property – indoor setting, Sun City, AZ

claims: *no claims - this was a "ghost hunt" in a location made available to SPCTR by the owners in Arizona.

findings: Dust orbs in digital photography and IR video. No unusual EVP or temperature measurements were noted. Nothing of interest in audio recording.

*Since the Team has had a good deal of audio, video and even digital photography "findings" in recent investigations it was decided to conduct a pair of "ghost hunts" at locations made available to the team. These "hunts" served as a way to see whether audio and video evidence would always turn up - even in areas where there was no reported activity. In both cases...nothing was found in evidence review.
